General Hospital: Crimes and Misdemeanors 11/04 – 11/05/2009

Wow alot of things have happened over the past 2 days.  Michael killed Claudia.  Max & Milo pointed out an obvious flaw in Jason’s plan.  Carly gave birth and lied to Detective Roy (anyone else wonder why they couldn’t get Lucky for that scene?  It seems like a waste to go to all that trouble to get JJ back and not use him)  to cover up Michael’s crime.  Michael & Sonny bonded over murder, that’s right boys build the memories.  Jax had to face the fact that in some ways he is no better than Sonny.  Lulu agreed to go on a date with Dante and showed the sparks of doubt when it came to wanting to protect Sonny.  Dante asked Johnny to work with him to find out what happened to Claudia, be careful Johnny!  Oh and we got to see Luke, Tracy, Nicholas, Liz, & Ethan.

  But for the most part the past two days have been The Sonny Show.  Oh hell for the past 6 episodes it has been the Sonny Show and frankly I am sick of it.  I am sick of every time I push play on my DVR I am subject to 48 minutes of Sonny, Sonny, Sonny.  Oh yeah Jason is in there too and that would annoy me too if it weren’t for the fact that he more than any one else realizes that he is responsible for all that has happened.  The rest of them just sit around blaming each other or patting each other on the back.  The whole scene when Jason walked in after Michael killed Claudia and presenting baby Josslyn to Claudia like nothing untoward just happened sickened me to know end.  Um excuse me I know you just gave birth but your child just killed someone.  Now I am smart enough to know that what Michael did was strictly on instinct and out of the need to protect his mother and sister, but no matter why he did it he still killed someone.  That has got to be a tramatic experience and no one seems to want to face that fact.  BTW Drew Garrett was amazing in that scene.  He is really growing on me.  And then to top it off Sonny can’t even hide the fact that he is proud of his son.  Dude that’s your kid!  Ugh sometimes these people make me sick.

Man lately Jax is making it really hard for me to like him.  He spends the better part of his time trying to convince Carly why she shouldn’t lie to the cops to protect Michael, he did have some good points though.  But still it took Carly busting him on the fact that for months he was doing the same thing by keeping it secret that Jerry was involved in the shooting.  And this isnt even the first time.  He did with the whole Metro Court thing as well.  So even though I don’t agree with Carly I can understand that need to protect your kid at all costs.  Granted Jax was doing it to protect Carly, once she got pregnant, but he knew about it for months before that even happened.  Sorry Jax no love for you on this one.  Of course this doesn’t mean I don’t want them to be able to work things out and stay CarJax.

  Don’t you just love the Spencers?  Well I do.  Everytime they show up on screen a little smile breaks out in glee.  Even Ethan seems to be gelling with the gang.  I think it is wonderful that Luke had 3 children who each have some of their father’s traits and how in their own individual ways they are following in their dad’s footsteps.  The only thing that would have made this picture complete is if Lucky had been there.  I miss Lucky.  I for one can not wait to see Tracy’s reaction to the news that Nicholas and Liz are sleeping together.  Because if there is one thing we have all learned that is that no one messes with someone Tracy loves.  Unless of course she is the one messing with them.  And how sweet was it when Lulu defended Dante to her brothers.  I swear I awed when that happened.  Unfortunately for Lulu I doubt her family will be any more thrilled when they find out he is a cop.  Well except perhaps Lucky.  I am so ready for the Lucky, Liz, & Nicholas story to get a move on.  Maybe then it will be less of The Sonny Show.

For the first time Sonny doesn’t have a big mouth, because remaining ever loyal to Jason he keeps mum about anything that may or may not have happened with Claudia when Johnny came looking for answers.  Johnny is one guy who could use a hug right now and I hope it’s not from that two faced bitch Olivia.  Yeah I used to be a Jolivia fan, but that was before she spent the past few days (or hours in soap time) trying to convince Sonny what a good father he is (yeah right) and how he couldn’t have known Claudia would go to such drastic measures ( Seriously Olivia, seriously?).  But at the same time telling whoever will listen how Sonny can never know about Dante because she wants to protect him from that life.  Hell at least Sonny actually believes the crap she spouts on a daily basis.  Sorry rant’s over.  But luckily or unluckily depending on how you look at it Johnny was able to gain another piece to the puzzle thanks to Maxie and her overwhelming need to talk before she thinks.  But she means well so we can forgive her (I am loving Maxie’s hair).  But it was perhaps his easing dropping on Carly and Jax that he was provided with the piece of information that I believe is going to change his life.  Please oh please keep Brandon Barash on the show.  He just keeps getting better and better.

So that’s it.  The past 2 days in a nut shell.  And yes I am aware I left some things out.  Sorry about that.  Did anyone else notice that even though the opening hasn’t been officially changed that Greg Vaughan is no longer in it, well except for at the end.  Weird how they take him out but they left Stuart Damon in.  Oh and I am sorry but for all you JaSam fans there was a kiss in todays episode.
